Summary

The incumbent will serve as a Civil Rights Analyst. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide support to Section managers, attorneys, and staff in developing projects including investigations, litigation, compliance monitoring, policy, correspondence, or document management.
Prepare memoranda, correspondence, data analysis, or other documents for attorneys concerning relevant subject matter.
Compile, review, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to support the Section's policy, statutory, and regulatory interpretations, investigations, litigation, and community outreach.
Provide guidance on statutes to support officials, covered entities, or members of the public.
Review and analyze school-produced reports, other documents, data, and information making annotations for possible non-compliance or other issues for review by senior staff.
You may be required to complete a pre-employment security screening to initiate your background investigation, which includes a drug screening. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion and adjudication of your investigation.

Specialized Experience Requirements
Specialized experience for the GS-13: is defined as one year of experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
