Duties

Help

As a Program Analyst (Security Policy), you will:

  • Provide independent analysis and review of Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) security programs and procedures, and hands-on management of security-related activities within the NNPP
  • Oversee day-to-day security operations both at Naval Reactors Headquarters and Field Offices, coordinating security requirements across a broad range of site and contractors
  • Assisting with and develop security processes and procedures for the international sharing of nuclear technology and information, analyzing and reviewing federal laws, regulations, and policies to ensure continued compliance with federal security requirements throughout the NNPP
  • Provide analysis of interrelated aspects that affect major administrative operations, such as security oversight, administrative support functions, and business operations
  • Provide recommendations and decisions on how to proceed in planning, organizing, and conducting evaluations that are complicated by conflicting program goals and objectives

  • Compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-12) governing personal identity which will require that you provide two forms of identification.

  • This position does not support 100% remote work. You will be required to report physically to the official reporting worksite as specified in this announcement. Situational telework may be approved.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NQ-02 or GS-12 in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:

Demonstrates an experience analyzing, reviewing, and evaluating program areas to include: prime contractor policies and procedures in the areas of management and internal controls, budget and resource management, and contractor assessment in those areas, to include providing expert advisory services to management on complex issues in these program areas.
