Duties

Help

As a Management and Program Analyst, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day support to the Director for Administrative Services Resources (ARS), the Assistant Inspector General for Management (AIGMA) and all headquarters staff to accomplish the work of the Office of Management and Administration (MA).
  • Serve as the Management and Program Analyst for the travel program at OIG.
  • Serve as the Subject-Matter-Expert with field administrative staff in areas such as travel and other DOE automated systems.
  • Serve as the point of contact for problems and inquiries related to space and occupancy.
  • Maintain continuing liaison with OIG program managers and OIG Budget Officer on all
    matters pertaining to budget formulation and execution.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below.

Specialized Experience For GS-12:
You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level performing the following duties:

  1. Reviewing quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques to evaluate the effectiveness of administrative programs.
  2. Verifying travel request for staff supported by operating funds.
  3. Assisting with verifying the efficiency and effectiveness of delivery methods; and 4) Assist with allocating space assignments, tracks assigned space, and process request for new space assignments.


Specialized Experience For GS-13:
You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level performing the following duties:

  1. Conducting quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques to evaluate the effectiveness of administrative programs or operations in meeting established goals.
  2. Providing guidance to senior management on critical travel situations and takes necessary action to resolve travel problems.
  3. Approving or disapproving travel based on availability of funds, the organization's travel plan, or the organization's policy.
  4. Analyzing the efficiency and effectiveness of program delivery methods and recommends improvements.
  5. Serving as a point of contact for problems and inquires related to space, tracks lease payment, and maintains documentation on leased facilities.
