Duties

Help

As a Budget Analyst or the Office of Management and Administration, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Represents the Inspector General on financial matters with DOE and outside sources, including the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Congress, Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE), other Federal agencies, and the public.
  • Provides leadership and direction in the planning, development, coordination, implementation and administration of a comprehensive financial management program for the OIG.
  • Manages financial assets and activities of the OIG nationwide, including the budget necessary to support the programs and operations.
  • Integrates OIG planning, budget, and performance information to develop performance-based budgets in conformance with the principles and concepts of the Government Performance and Results Act of 1993.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience: To qualify for the GS-14 grade level you must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level. Examples of specialized experience include experience in the:

(1) Federal budget process
(2) Legislative budget process to oversee formulation, justification and execution of appropriation budgets,
(3) Policy directives for financial management systems, and written and oral communication to brief and justify complex programs to senior management.
