Qualifications
In addition to the basic eligibility requirements, listed in the Education section of this announcement, applicants must have the following specialized experience and/or directly related education or a combination:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Managing the application of data analytics techniques.
Leading data analytics efforts to identify areas of potential fraud and possible mismanagement.
Providing policy advice and expertise in all matters involving Department data sources in support of OIG operational activities.
Education
All applicants must meet one of the following basic eligibility requirements in order to qualify for this position:
A Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position. OR
A combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree that included a major field of study or specific course requirements generally as stated in paragraph A in the individual occupational requirements.
