Duties

Help

As an Office Manager, you will:

  • Provide program administrative and analytical support to the office.
  • Ensure effective and efficient operation of information storage and retrieval systems such as computer files and filing cabinets.
  • Establish, maintain, and update files, databases, records and/or other documents.
  • Provides administrative management for the Office of Resource Management of supplies, travel, mail and credit card purchases.
  • Prepares briefings for management.
  • Supervises a small staff engaged in this line of work.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-07 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-7) or pay band which demonstrates knowledge and experience related to a number of administrative functions to include records management, travel and credit card purchases.

  • Master's Degree or equivalent graduate degree in a related field. (OR)
  • 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a related field. (OR)
  • LL.B. or J.D. (OR)
  • An equivalent combination of education and specialized experience.

Time-In-Grade/Pay Band: Current federal employees must meet time-in-grade/pay band requirements to be eligible for consideration. Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade/pay band any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade/pay band requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For an NQ-02 position you must have served 52 weeks as a GS-7 level or equivalent. The grade/pay band may have been in any occupation and must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade/pay band eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade/pay band, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide additional SF-50s that clearly demonstrates the one-year time-in-grade/pay band requirement has been met.
