Facilitates significant customer driven, results oriented quality and process improvement projects and activities using Lean Six Sigma and various Continuous Process Improvement strategies, as appropriate, across the organization

Responsible for implementing quantitative and qualitative methods within the scope of the respective project and reporting of results. Responsible for analysis, facilitation, reporting, and providing recommendations for process improvements, quality improvements, efficiency, and cost savings, and establishing appropriate process metrics and process controls. Works with senior leadership as change agent in directing and performing the steps necessary to create business cases for improvement efforts based on objective data within the framework of the Continuous Process Improvement methodology. Responsible for facilitating activities, events, and leading discussions of groups of various sizes. Much of the interaction, coordination and facilitation of these projects and activities occurs virtually, using various web-based communication tools; however, some in-person working meetings are required. Other duties include leading and supporting the Chief Strategy Officer on strategic planning implementation and execution projects and initiatives.

Qualifications
You MUST submit your Certification: Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Black Belt or Lean Sensei or you will not be considered for the position.
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience in each of the following bullets, equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the federal service to qualify for the GS-13.
Leading multiple enterprise-wide, continuous process improvement projects using Lean or Six Sigma principles and methodologies (for example Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC).
Instructing and coaching Lean or Six Sigma principles and methodologies. Advising stakeholders on the continuous process improvement lifecycle.
Facilitating virtual continuous process improvement activities using web-based platforms.
