Duties

Help

As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist within the OIG, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing supervision and direction to subordinate staff, ensuring HR operations and services are in full compliance with civil service laws, regulations, requirements, and standards.
  • Serving as an advisor and consultant to the Assistant Inspector General for Management and Administration, Program Managers and other agency officials on the full range of matters related to Federal staffing, employee relations, benefits, compensation, performance management and position classification.
  • Providing authoritative policy interpretation on employee relations concerns of a critical and sensitive nature, including reasonable accommodations.
  • Presenting the OIG's view during internal and external committees, and meetings.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [enter grade] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:

  1. Overseeing human resources operations.
  2. Advising managers on Federal staffing, benefits, compensation, performance management, position classification and employee relations issues, to include reasonable accommodations.
  3. Developing and implementing new policies and guidance.
