Duties

Help

As a Supervisory Criminal Investigator, (Assistant Special Agent-In-Charge of Headquarters Operations), in the Office of Investigations, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all aspects of the administrative operations of the Office of Investigations (OI).
  • Managing policy, long and short-range planning, budgeting, and reporting initiatives of the Assistant Inspector General for Investigations (AIGI).
  • Evaluating OI compliance with best practices and established standards issued by relevant governing bodies regarding investigative program.
  • Serving as a case manager, as required, over high-level, time sensitive investigations and inquiries.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: To qualify for the GS-14 grade level you must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:

  1. Independently planning and conducting criminal investigations of a sensitive and complex nature.
  2. Providing oversight of internal review programs, administrative programs, and regulatory compliance.
  3. Coordinating agency-wide initiatives, developing policies, rules and regulations with agency-wide impact.
  4. Performing management and administrative practices and procedures required to plan and direct the work of subordinate staff.
