Qualifications

The position of Communication Specialist (Advisor) falls under the 1001 occupational series. To qualify for this position at grade GS-14, you must meet all requirements by 11:59 pm EST on 12/21/2021.

Minimum Qualifications

Specialized Experience. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

  • You must possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service that includes experience: leading, coordinating, or managing strategic communication activities and programs relating to public health communication and marketing; supporting media relations strategies and press outreach; drafting and implementing communication strategies and plans for an organization; and developing scientific-based messages and communication materials for professional and lay audiences.
