    This Direct-Hire position is in the Food and Drug Administration and is located in the Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA), Office of Medical Products and Tobacco Operations (OMPTO), Office of Biologist Products Operations (OBPO) which provides expertise for the inspection of biological products, including biotechnology products, to determine compliance with FDA laws and regulations.

    • Conducts technical investigations and inspections of establishments in the assigned area of requiring special abilities and skills to effectively deal with people and to negotiate in sensitive situations arising in complicated assignments.
    • Performs analyses and evaluation on complex data samples and documented information gathered during inspections and investigations, ensuring compliance with Federal laws, rules and regulations.
    • Provides advice on advances in biological technologies, products, new programs, laws and regulations, significant court decisions, new trends or scientific findings involving biological products.
    • Prepares memoranda, briefings, and other background material concerning substantive issues, findings, conclusions and proposed solutions to keep the Director and appropriate staff involved at key decision points.
