This position is located on the Change Control, Configuration, and Release Management (CCRM) Team within the Delivery Management and Support Staff (DMSS). The CCRM Team supports Information Technology (IT) programs, application, infrastructure and service teams across the entire agency.
You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National. Foreign nationals or legal permanent residents are not eligible for consideration. This is a direct hire authority announcement. Traditional federal rules regarding rating, ranking, and veterans' preference do not apply.
As a Senior Information Technology Specialist, you will independently perform the following functions:
Configuration and Release Management activities including maintaining the configuration management database (CMDB) and managing processes for data and configuration item relationship accuracy.
Manage the Change Control Board process for the agency, including review and update of change requests prior to approval or rejection.
Utilize the Agency's IT Service Management tools to manage Configuration, Change, and Release Management activities and automation.
Actively participate in audits as part of governance and process improvements.
Utilize a wide variety of platforms, operating systems, applications, and configurations to manage the Configuration Management program and assist teams with process implementation.
This position may be subject to completion of a 1-year probationary period (unless you have already satisfied this obligation).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
In order to be eligible for the position of Information Technology Specialist (SYSANALSIS/APPSW), (GS-2210-13), you must meet the following requirements...
Qualifying on the basis of experience, your experience must be Information Technology related and it must demonstrate each of the four competencies listed below. Your level of proficiency for each competency will be assessed based on your responses to the online assessments and additional steps in the hiring process (e.g., interview).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: You must possess one year (52-weeks) of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Such experience includes: Managing Change and Configuration Management tasks and Boards, Configuration Management database, and Build/Release Management for custom software products; assisting teams with process implementation and improvements consistent with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or IT Service Management (ITSM); and administering Subversion and Atlassian products on the Windows and Linux operating systems.
