Help

As the Director, Mission Support Division, you will:

  • Serve as the Director, Mission Support Division in the Naval Reactors Laboratory Field Office.
  • Provide managerial and technical direction for the following programs: administrative support services, records management, IT and communications support, cybersecurity, travel, training, and career and professional development, ensuring consistency and standard approaches across the Naval Reactors Laboratory Field Office (NRLFO).
  • Conduct oversight of prime contractor administration of these programs to ensure compliance with established requirements; performance meets agency goals and objectives; and the efficient and effective use of Government resources.
  • Responsible for employee communication efforts throughout NRLFO on topics related to areas of responsibility.
  • Responsible for a wide range of programs with significant impact on NRLFO, NRHQ and NNSA.
  • Provide supervisory, managerial, and technical direction.

  • First time supervisors will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period. New supervisors are required to attend 80 hours of supervisory training, of which 40 hours must be completed during your first year as a supervisor.

  • This position does not support 100% remote work. You will be required to report physically to the official reporting worksite as specified in this announcement. Situational telework may be approved.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting all of the following:
One year of specialized experience at the GS-14 level or equivalent which demonstrates providing supervision, leadership, and direction in program areas such as administrative support services, records management, IT and communications support, cyber security, travel, training, and career and professional development and also include planning and coordinating a variety of administrative functions -- gathering data, conducting analysis, and preparing reports to reflect results of program operations; tracking and coordinating projects; and providing administrative support functions for high-level management.
