- Act as resident expert in drilling and auguring methods and sampling techniques.
- Act as resident expert in high-pressure drain cleaning methodology.
- Maintain purchase files, including receipts and invoices for drill equipment and supplies.
- Maintain inventory of required materials and supplies, reorders supplies when necessary.
- Track and schedule all equipment maintenance and repair.
- Track and schedule all safety training and required physicals related to drilling, auguring, and high pressure cleaning.
- Instruct all drill crews in proper procedures and work.

You must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
You must be suitable for federal employment, determined by a background investigation.

You must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) at the time of application and is a condition of employment. Failure to maintain a Class A CDL will result in the termination of appointment.
You will be required to submit to a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment as a condition of employment. This position is also subject to random drug testing.
You may be required to serve an initial supervisory probationary period.
As a condition of employment for accepting this position, you may be required to serve a one year probationary or two-year trial period during which your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest will be evaluated. This period is an extension of the appointment process and therefore requires the agency to determine if continued employment would advance the public interest, meet the organization goals and mission of the agency, and/or otherwise promote the efficiency of the service.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications for trades and labor positions are determined by evaluation of job elements. You must meet at least 2 points on the screen-out element(s) and obtain an average of at least 2 points on all of the job elements in order to be considered qualified for this position.
