Joining Customs & Border Protection (CBP) will allow you to to support the mission by performing manual labor associated with the operations of the warehouse storage and distribution facility. This position starts at an hourly rate of $25.19 (WG-05, Step 1) to $29.40 (WG-05, Step 5).
In this Materials Handler position, you will serve as the principal Materials Handler at the CBP National Distribution Center (NDC). You will work independently in a wide range of warehousing activities, including receiving, storing, selecting, and shipping general or specialized materials and equipment.

Physical and Working Conditions: Required to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time, and to bend, stoop, and work in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions. Lifts and carries items that weigh up to forty pounds. May be required to handle items weighing over fifty pounds. Work is performed inside and outside storage areas that may be hot, cold, damp, drafty, or poorly lighted. Exposed to possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, and more serious injuries from falling or dropping items, back strains, etc.
Forklift Operating Certification: Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift operating certification.
