Incumbent serves as the Manager of the Protection and Communications Engineering and Maintenance division for the Desert Southwest Region (DSW) of Western Area Power Administration (WAPA). The manager is responsible for supervising two subordinate supervisors and for formulating, executing, planning, and coordinating the engineering, maintenance, replacement, and rehabilitation of protection, automation, and communication facilities as well as the administration of those functions in associated power contracts.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have experience that equipped them with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
