Summary

This position is part of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy - Headquarters- Wind Energy Technologies Office, Department of Energy. As a Management and Program Analyst, you will serve as the principal technology manager for science, technology, engineering and mathematic (STEM), workforce development, and state and local activities within the Wind Energy Technologies Office's (WETO) Environmental, Siting, Workforce, and Grid Program.

Duties

Help

As a Management and Program Analyst, you will:

  • Serve as an analyst and/or advisor to senior program officials with responsibility for analyzing and evaluating a major mission-critical program and its operations or a DOE-wide functional program office with impact across field components.
  • Consolidate data as necessary and reviews to ensure accomplishment of objectives, timeliness, and acceptability.
  • Foresee the pros and cons of alternative solutions and explains these to other program and management analysts.
  • Interpret, review and analyze broad policies, regulations, procedures, and system(s) requirements promulgated by higher authority to determine their impact on local operations and is responsible for their effective application and for developing adaptation and implementing guidance.
  • Provides advice and guidance for improvements and anticipates areas of concern.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level, GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:

  • Experience supporting clean energy program planning and development, and advising or making recommendations on clean energy workforce development and/or clean energy deployment needs, and associated operational, budgeting, and planning activities.
  • Experience developing or managing the development of clean energy educational programs or materials and serving as the spokesperson for internal and external events, meetings, seminars, lectures, etc. to educate, engage, and promote activities or benefits related to clean energy.
  • Experience working with stakeholders such as state and local governments, the wind industry, labor unions, universities and other educational institutions, to develop plans that support clean energy needs such as workforce development and diversity, equity and inclusion.
