The Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Inspector General is currently looking for an Auditor in the Office of Audits in Idaho Falls, ID. As an Auditor, you will:
1) Conduct performance and financial audits.
2) Perform systematic examinations and appraisals of financial related records, reports, and policies for DOE and other entities.
3) Prepare work papers/reports to document the audit process, deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
4) Assist higher level auditors in determining area of high risk to focus on during the audit.
5) Recommends improving the adequacy and condition of financial records in closeout conferences to managers of audited organizations.
6) Performs and coordinates audits of an extensive range of Department of Energy and non-Department of Energy activities.
Accreditation: Only education from an accredited college or university recognized by the Department of Education is acceptable to meet education requirements or to substitute for experience, if applicable. Foreign Education: To receive credit for education completed outside the United States, you must show proof that the education has been submitted to a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign educational credentials and such education has been deemed at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education programs.
