Duties

Help

[As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will:

  • Supervise a professional staff of senior level analysts. Assigns work to subordinates; evaluates the work performance of subordinates; gives advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters; interviews candidates for positions in the unit; makes appointments, promotions, or reassignments to such positions; identifies, provides or arranges for training and developmental for assigned employees and makes decisions on employee requests for cost and non-cost training; develops performance standards; devises ways to improve production or increase the quality of the work directed; and approves leave and work scheduled.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and strategic advice on matters pertaining to stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead the strategic development and execution of work plans to accomplish program technology to market and commercialization objectives.
  • Address and negotiate resolutions to group grievances or serious employee complaints using appropriate alternative dispute resolution and other techniques; effects disciplinary measures, such as warnings, reprimands, and suspensions.
  • Oversee implementation of efforts to ensure that commercialization strategies are incorporated into all funded activities. Leads development of a strategy for incorporation of diversity and equity into activities. Oversee the development of a portfolio approach for crosscutting analysis, including impact metrics and development of metrics to ascribe value of water technologies.
  • Develop and review technical content, reports, and communications materials targeted at specific water power stakeholder groups; developing communications and briefings materials for senior management, Congressional committees, OMB, and other audiences on issues related to water power; enforcing agency standards for various technical reports and informational materials

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience providing strategic advice to the Director on opportunities to advance the mission by leveraging stakeholder networks and translating the mission, goals, programs, and projects to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders, including members of Congress and leaders in Federal agencies, foreign governments and organizations, national laboratories, industry, trade associations, State, local, and tribal governments, universities, and other organizations.
