Duties

Help

As a Supervisory Energy Technology Program Specialist, you will:

  • Provide leadership, strategic direction, and executive program management for the assigned program.
  • Design and monitor a portfolio of activities that include providing technical assistance with state and local government partners.
  • Evaluate progress and periodically informs the Program Director of the status of projects and deviations from predicted goals.
  • Provide advice, guidance, instruction and assistance to subordinates on both technical and administrative matters.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:

Experience demonstrating leadership or supervisory experience planning and implementing successful demonstration and deployment programs for energy efficiency, specifically for the U.S. domestic residential sector, including, grant assistance programs and policies to increase the energy efficiency of residential households or buildings, working with Federal, State, local and regional public and non-profit organizations, industry, financial firms, and utilities.

Once onboard, you will then be required to provide proof of vaccination in DOE's MyEnergy system and certify the documentation you provide is true and correct under penalty of perjury. Providing a knowing and willful false statement on either DOE's COVID-19 Vaccination Form prior to starting or when providing proof of vaccination in DOE's MyEnergy system once onboard is punishable by fine and/or imprisonment (18 U.S.C. 1001) and will result in termination from Federal service.
