Summary

This position is part of the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Department of Energy. As an Energy Technology Program Specialist, you will support the BTO and perform a variety of planning, financial, and administrative duties for highly complex energy efficiency projects/programs in an assigned area within the BTO.

Duties

Help

As a Energy Technology Program Specialist, you will:

  • Serve as principal advisor to the Operations Supervisor and Director in executing multiple aspects of internal and external budget and finance, strategic planning, operational and program planning, human resources and workforce planning, and other administrative duties.
  • Support strategic and business planning, goals setting, developing and tracking performance indicators, ensuring quality/efficiency, promoting organizational performance management to ensure alignment with the vision, mission, values, and goals of an organization or a federal agency.
  • Facilitate the Laboratory Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process across office leaders and supports tracking laboratory and project spend plans to ensure efficient use of funds.
  • Support Operations Supervisor in facilitating completion of informational requests of an operational nature, including program status briefings and other internal requests.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as performing a variety of operational planning, financial management (formulation, justification, presentation, execution of budgets), and administrative duties for highly complex energy efficiency projects/programs for an organization; draft and present budget/financial & administrative reports to leadership; communicating effectively with individuals and groups at all levels, both orally and in writing to represent an organization and assigned projects at internal and external meetings and conferences.

Education

There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-13 level. This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
