The position Is located in the State, Tribal, and Local Plans & Grants unit of Cultural Resources, National Park Service, Washington, DC. The incumbent provides a variety of technical and administrative support for the range of grant program administered by the Division, which is responsible for directing and coordinating the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF) grant programs authorized by the National Historic Preservation Act P.L. and authorized by various other Federal laws.

The major duties of the Program Specialist role include but are not limited to the following:

Physical Demands: Most work is sedentary, however, occasional, bending, and lifting of light items will be required. No special physical demands are required. although there maybe emergency periods involving intense concentration to produce work at top speed.
Working Conditions: The work Is performed In an office setting where the light, air conditioning, heat, and ventilation are adequate for the work to be done.
The National Park Service has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
