    This position is located in George Washington Memorial Parkway, in the Division of Resource Management.

    • Organize field work for non-native invasive plant and animal eradication program.
    • Serve as Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Coordinator for the park.
    • Manage the park Scientific Research and Collection Permit System.
    • Assist in the direction of fire management activities.
    • Identify the local flora and fauna.
    • Use Geographic Information System (GIS) in the field and office.
    • Maintain current Agreements Technical Representative (ATR) and Contracting Officers Representative (COR) certifications.
    • Inventory and monitor park wildlife and vegetation.
    • Coordinate with other divisions, federal and state agencies.
    • Apply laws and policies affecting the management of wildlife, vegetation, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) to all park projects.
    • Recruit and work with volunteers to accomplish park management goals.
    • Serve as or assist Fire Management Officer (FMO) with duties pertaining to fire management.
    Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position to various sites within the park and to attend meetings or training.
