    Temporary positions not-to-exceed 1039 regular hours in a service year may be terminated sooner or extended depending on management needs. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is mid April to mid October, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding.     Operates single gasoline or diesel powered vehicles with gross vehicle weight rating of 26,001 or more pounds. May also operate pickups, stake and dump trucks. Responsible for loading and unloading vehicles seeing that cargo is enclosed while enroute to destination. Uses equipment such as front end loader, loader/backhoe, or fork lift to load truck. Must be able to operate vehicle on narrow, winding roads in campgrounds and through narrow streets in town with heavy visitor traffic. Assists with maintenance and repair of equipment. Operates small equipment and hand tools such as chain saws, chipper, backpack blowers, shovels and rakes. Performs general maintenance work such as repairing picnic tables, erecting signs, repairing fence, cutting vegetation, or cleaning ditch. Leads work of lower graded employee at times.
