Directorate for Accession Policy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Manpower and Reserve Affairs). The Directorate for Accession Policy is responsible for developing DoD policy, providing oversight, and for reviewing Service plans and budgets for all programs related to the accession of both Active and Reserve military personnel. This office os responsible for all policy related to enlisted and officer accessions, and it monitors standards of personnel quality as they relate to the needs of all Services for military personnel.

As a PERSONNEL RESEARCH PSYCHOLOGIST, GS-0180-15, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision:

Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. PASS/FAIL COURSES: If more than 10 percent of your undergraduate course work (credit hours) were taken on a pass/fail basis, your claim of superior academic achievement must be based upon class standing or membership in an honor society.
GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. PPP PILOT: The Washington Headquarters Service is currently operating under an approved reengineered Priority Placement Program (PPP) pilot for all positions in its serviced workforce.
