This position is being filled under the Field Unit Local Hiring Authority and is open to U.S. citizens and nationals who meet all eligibility requirements, including permanent and exclusive residency within the defined vicinity of the field unit as described in this announcement. Ability to Lead or Supervise: Ability to lead or supervise maintenance mechanics equivalent to the WG-10 level. Qualifying experience is experience that demonstrates your ability to organize assignments for subordinates, estimate materials and manpower, prepare work orders and reports, train others on maintenance mechanic work in at least two of the follow trades (Masonry, Electrical, Plumbing, Air
Conditioning Equipment Mechanic, Utilities Systems Repair-Operator and Engineering Equipment Operator), explain work manuals and procedures, and motivate others to work efficiently and productively.(SCREEN OUT)

Physical Demands: Physical effort is heavy to moderate, and requires occasional lifting or handling of objects or materials up to 50-100 pounds, unassisted, following proper lifting procedures to avoid injury.
