WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

As an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC) you will use your knowledge of and experience with OCIO to optimize business results and customer experience by:

  • Participating in management planning, policy development, and decision-making regarding legislative, technological, and regulatory changes
  • Evaluating program impacts; reviewing recommendations for compatibility with organizational mission and objectives
  • Developing cybersecurity standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures; interprets legal and regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of enterprise systems, networks, and data by planning, developing, implementing, maintaining, and enhancing information security policies, procedures, and tools across the enterprise while integrating projects and resources with strategic mission objectives
  • Working with the Compliance Management Team to develop and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation
  • Providing authoritative advice and technical leadership to senior officials on cybersecurity programs and initiatives

Qualifications

Basic Requirement:

Have IT related experience demonstrating proficiency in each of the following competencies listed below:

Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service performing at least ALL of the following:

  • Leading advanced analysis of administrative, claims, survey, longitudinal, clinical, and real-world data to support evidence-based research, policy development, and executive decision making
  • Developing/directing artificial intelligence and common data elements programs advancing data standardization, interoperability, meta-data, governance, and secure information sharing
  • Directing enterprise data linkage initiatives integrating multimodal data to support secure analytics, interoperability, and data-driven decision-making
  • Directing enterprise cybersecurity and information security governance, oversee risk management frameworks, authority to operate (ATOs), FISMA-compliance, privacy, and continuous monitoring (for enterprise data and artificial intelligence initiatives
  • Advising executive leadership on enterprise data and artificial intelligence initiatives (ongoing and new), aligning strategy, information governance, privacy, regulatory compliance, and Departmental priorities

If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
