Duties

Help

  • Serves as a principal advisor and consultant to the Deputy Office Director, and is delegated the authority of the Deputy Office Director in their absence.
  • Serves as the Division Director supervising a staff of senior/supervisory HR professionals engaged in planning and implementing human operations, programs and services within FDA.
  • Directs, analyzes, and implements a variety of emerging, or critical large-scale agency Human Resource (HR) operations.
  • Develops a variety of HR procedural and technical policies, concepts, goals, objectives and strategies to support staffing and recruitment operations.
  • Collaborates and provides expert consultation and advisory services to internal stakeholders.
  • Develops performance standards, evaluates work performance, and identifies developmental and training needs.
  • Provides expert advice and assistance on programmatic internal/external procedural, technical, and administrative related concepts, goals, strategies, initiatives, and efforts as well as impacting regulations, legislation, and requirements.
  • Directs a broad range of delegated managerial and supervisory authorities for the assigned organization and provides both technical and administrative oversight to employees.

In order to qualify for the Division Director position which falls under the 0201 occupational Series, you must meet the following requirements by 11:59 pm EST on 10/15/2024:

Title 21 CURES Relevant Experience for Division Director, AD-0201-00, Band F level:

Applicant must have 11 years of relevant experience planning, directing, analyzing, and implementing a variety of emerging, or day-to-day Human Resource (HR) operations; designing and delivering innovative HR solutions in operations, programs and services; developing a variety of HR procedural and technical policies, concepts, goals, objectives and strategies to support staffing and recruitment operations; experience may also include supervising a staff of supervisory and/or senior HR professionals engaged in planning and implementing human resource operations, programs and services within an agency.
