WHAT DOES A TAS INSTRUCTOR DO? As an Instructor, you will be part of a cadre that will be responsible for delivering formal Virtual/classroom and/or on the job instruction/training to individuals from within your organization. In this role, you will use your technical expertise and years of experience to plan and/or conduct formal virtual/classroom training materials on basic or advanced areas of tax law, procedures, policies, techniques, or other specialized fields unique to your position/occupation. You must be a current TAS employee permanently assigned to GS-12 or above in one of the following series: 0301, 0343, 0501, 0512, or 1169. Duties of an Instructor are collateral; There is no promotion potential and no change in work schedule or current post of duty.
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
To qualify for this virtual/classroom instructor cadre position, you must currently be a TAS employee and be able to demonstrate the level of technical expertise and experience to plan and conduct formal virtual/classroom training on areas of tax law and organizational policies and/or procedures. Your permanent position must be at the GS-12 or above in one of the following series: 0301, 0343, 0501, 0512 or 1169.
- The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
