The incumbent is responsible for the development, management, coordination, and implementation of the Geographic Information System (GIS) for the park. The incumbent will design, develop, and manage GIS databases and data base management system, including conversion of thematic source maps, digitizing mapped information, importing existing digital data, and converting data. The incumbent will manage and integrate a variety of GIS and data base management software, implement data documentation procedures and distribution. The incumbent will enhance park-wide capability and provide leadership, training, and instruction to staff in the use of GIS applications and related technology.
Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
