You will be responsible for all enterprise analytics, decision making affecting analytics, directing analytics processes and using analytics to drive innovation and the Agency's goals. You will manage the data governance and analytics branch. You will have full responsibility for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, directing, and evaluating the following critical programs and functions:
Basic Requirement for 1520, Mathematics position (You must provide a copy of your transcripts):
A. Degree: mathematics; or the equivalent of a major that included at least 24 semester hours in mathematics.
OR,
B. Combination of education and experience - - courses equivalent to a major in mathematics (including at least 24 semester hours in mathematics), as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
The total course work in either A or B above must have included differential and integral calculus and, in addition, four advanced mathematics courses requiring calculus or equivalent mathematics courses as a prerequisite.
Basic Requirement for 1530, Statistics positions (You must provide a copy of your transcripts):
A. Degree that included 15 semester hours in statistics (or in mathematics and statistics, provided at least 6 semester hours were in statistics), and 9 additional semester hours in one or more of the following: physical or biological sciences, medicine, education, or engineering; or in the social sciences including demography, history, economics, social welfare, geography, international relations, social or cultural anthropology, health sociology, political science, public administration, psychology, etc. Credit toward meeting statistical course requirements should be given for courses in which 50 percent of the course content appears to be statistical methods, e.g., courses that included studies in research methods in psychology or economics such as tests and measurements or business cycles, or courses in methods of processing mass statistical data such as tabulating methods or electronic data processing.
OR,
B. Combination of education and experience -- courses as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. The experience should have included a full range of professional statistical work such as (a) sampling, (b) collecting, computing, and analyzing statistical data, and (c) applying statistical techniques such as measurement of central tendency, dispersion, skewness, sampling error, simple and multiple correlation, analysis of variance, and tests of significance.
Basic Requirement for 1550, Computer Scientist positions (You must provide a copy of your transcripts):
A. A bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. All academic degrees and course work must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
Evaluation of Education: Applicants should have sufficient knowledge to understand the fundamental concepts and techniques of computer science. Courses designed to provide an instruction to computer science techniques and methodologies, to problems of system design and other specialized fields are acceptable. Course or experience in teaching elementary, business, or shop mathematics are not acceptable.
In addition to meeting the basic requirements above, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess the specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the GS-15 level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Examples of specialized experience is listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes knowledge and application of mathematics, statistician, computer scientist and/or other scientific principles, methods, and techniques to perform a broad range of assignments entailing unique problems, creativity, innovative use of techniques, advance approaches, and/or new technologies (e.g., development of enterprise data architecture and analytics). Develops enterprise analytics. Researches and implements technology solutions that support internal staff data analytics. Must be able to apply multi-discipline knowledge in the planning, research, design, development, test, evaluation, integration, acquisitions, dissemination, sustainment, modification, and/or exploitation of complex systems to support the Agency's strategies and goals.

MTQs must demonstrate the necessary level of skills, characteristics, qualities, specialized knowledge, and technical competence that would indicate successful performance in this Senior Level position.
