  • Writing Your Federal Resume – Virtual Training Virtual

Hosted by The Office of Personnel Management

Have you been thinking about applying for employment with the Federal Government? Would you like guidance from experts on preparing a Federal resume? Join the staff of the Recruitment Policy and Outreach (RPO) division of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), for an in-depth briefing that will explain each section of the job opportunity announcement (JOA) in an effort to provide you with information and to assist you in selecting the right job. The presentation highlights a three part process to assist you in writing your Federal resume. You will be shown a real JOA and we will walk you through a process that will help you review the JOA to determine if you are qualified, identify the important requirements and then tailor your resume to that JOA. Lastly, it will provide a quick overview of the resume builder on USAJOBS. There is no cost for these sessions and, because they are virtual (online) sessions, you can participate from any location provided you have an Internet connection.

Sessions will be offered monthly. To find out more or to register, click on the event:

The sessions are open to anyone who wants to learn more about the Federal hiring process; however, registration for each event will be limited to 1500 attendees.
