Duties

Help
  • Reviewing purchase requests for completeness and accuracy.
  • Coordinating and tracking the completion of requisition documents through purchase request approval processes.
  • Preparing solicitation packages, including requests for proposals and invitations for bids.
  • Draft supporting documents for contract actions, such as notices of award/unsuccessful offerors and requests for bid verification.
  • Review payment requests for conformance with contract terms and conditions and accept/reject requests.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience for the grade level in which you are applying:

GS-07:

Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following: (1) working in financial business management systems, to include reviewing for accuracy and entering input information for procurement and financial assistance actions; (2) working with different procurement and agreement instruments; (3) using various software programs such as spreadsheets, word processing and data base management; (4) working in a collaborative environment to communicate with various groups to include team members and program offices.

TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-06 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).

  • Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.
  • Any individual who is currently holding, or has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet time-in-grade requirements (must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent in the Federal service). Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 10 nights per month. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes.

Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary, but may require some physical effort, such as standing, walking, bending, or sitting. There are no special demands.

Working Conditions: The incumbent works in an office setting. Normal safety precautions are required.

The National Park Service has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.

Work may be performed virtually from a remote location, or from the Region office.
