As the Information Technology Specialist for Bryce Canyon National Park your duties will include: Coordinating the implementation of computer-based services and applications in support of the unit's mission. Coordinating compliance with operational and security requirements as directed by the Department of the Interior and National Park Service regulations. Conducting the installation of automatic data processing resources to include the installation of computer hardware, local/wide area network hardware, computer and network system operating software, software upgrades and modification, major software applications, and network and data security. Providing assistance with the management of system resources to ensure system optimal performance, availability and serviceability; managing network accounts, operating access rights and access to system modules and other computer and network resources; ensuring the rigorous application of information security policies, principles and practices in the delivery of network services. Installing new and upgraded hardware including software applications; resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability problems; maintaining documentation, configuration specifications including ensuring compliance to already developed systems administration standards and operating procedures.
Preparing the diagnosis and resolution of problems for a wide variety of applications, operating systems, proposals and equipment. Installing, configuring troubleshooting and maintaining customer hardware and software. Coordinating and assisting with customer training.
To qualify based on education, you must submit a legible copy of transcripts from an accredited institution with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking. If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet qualification requirements, you must show that your education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.

Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary with occasional walking, bending and light lifting.
Working Conditions: The work is performed in an office setting with occasional visits to field work sites.
