Summary

The Fraud Section is composed of three litigating units that investigate and prosecute complex white-collar criminal cases across the country and leads the Department's corporate enforcement efforts. The incumbent of this position is responsible for overseeing and performing day-to-day administrative tasks in support of the section.

Duties

Help

As an Administrative Officer, the incumbent:

  • Serves as a direct supervisor of subordinate supervisors and administrative staff within the Section. Performs all supervisory duties to include identifying appropriate tasks, providing feedback and guidance, and completing performance evaluations and reviews.
  • Initiates and develops strategy and recommendations to improve current and future Section effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Manages all activity with the Human Resources staff including all personnel-related matters, such as staffing, time and attendance, leave administration, promotion, performance and recognition.
  • Manages the Section workspace and oversees the administrative aspects of office moves, repairs or upgrades and other facility improvements.
  • Analyzes and provides a full range of liaison services to support the administration of a complex budget that involves both program and direct expenses. Coordinates financial matters with the Section management and appropriate Office of Administration staff.
  • Manages the contracting request process for all procurements including information technology and contracting assistance. Ensures sufficient funding and compliance with agency and appropriate federal procurement regulations.
  • Oversees administration of the Section's rigorous travel program.
  • Represents the Fraud Section in Division or Department-wide initiatives or projects, as assigned.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-14 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-13 federal grade level. Examples of specialized experience include: providing technical and advisory services to senior management related to financial management, human resources, procurement, and timekeeping and facilities management; overseeing the office's correspondence functions and procedures; supervising the operations of subordinate administrative staff; and planning and establishing program goals, objectives, and measurement criteria.

Time-in-Grade: Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements for consideration by the closing date of this announcement.
