Duties

Help
  • Responsible for the design and implementation of comprehensive Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Program.
  • Responsible for the operational and management aspects of the USAGPAN's Performance Improvement Program.
  • Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and dealing with any issues related to USAGPAN government contracts for equipment, services, and faculty.

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse is required.
  • This position is covered by Health Affairs Policy 97006, 23 Oct 96 which requires the employee to obtain Hepatitis B immunization unless exempted by physician.
  • Employees must obtain and maintain favorable results from a criminal history background check as a condition of employment.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08). Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually.
  • The employee is required to obtain influenza vaccination unless exempted by a physician.
  • Must obtain Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) certification and required to complete all associated training and or certifications per Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) and Army Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (AFARS).

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Basic Requirements for Nurse (Educator):Education:

Bachelor's or graduate (or higher level) degree with major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

In addition to meeting the basic requirements above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:GS-12 Specialized Experience: A minimum of one full year of specialized experience which includes demonstrates a full range of Quality Assurance principles and concepts to successfully evaluate a graduate program of education; applies a comprehensive and thorough knowledge of regulatory standards dictated by the Council on Accreditation (COA) of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, as well as affiliated university guidelines, to maintain program compliance; utilizes data-driven methodologies and performance improvement tools; including Medatrax, educational databases, and collaborative brainstorming techniques; to optimize operational efficiency; collect and analyze complex program data to formulate new program directives, developing innovative conceptual approaches to elevate the quality of education and identify targeted areas for program improvement; communicates effectively during high-level faculty committee meetings and led strategic discussions; and expert writing skills to develop administrative correspondence, technical documents, analytical studies, formal directives, user manuals, policies, and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
