Duties

Help

Major duties of this position are:

  • Manage the regional system for receiving, tracking and replying to requests submitted under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).
  • Interpret and analyze data and produces reports for the Region, utilizing various parameters needed to obtain the data.
  • Independently interpret rules, regulations, and common practices pertaining to the FOIA and privacy act.
  • Manage and coordinate the Region's internal safety and health program.
  • Manages the Region's information and resource libraries for internal and external users.

Qualifications

You must meet the Specialized Experience to qualify for Program Analyst, as described below.

A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Applicants must have 52 weeks of Specialized Experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service, which includes:

  • Analyze and evaluate audit findings and prepares reports of findings.
  • Independently interpret rules; regulations and common practices pertaining to FOIA and privacy act.
  • Conducts a variety of reports and studies pertaining to the implementation, performance and impact of Regional Programs using evaluative and analytical techniques.
  • Manages and coordinates the property management system ensuring inventory control of all equipment.

Education

There are no education requirements for this position and there is no substitution of education for Specialized Experience at this grade level.
