Duties

  • You will serve as the principal advisor to senior leadership on Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) initiatives.
  • You will provide direct supervision and oversight to a team of four subordinate civilian and military personnel, reporting to the Chief of Staff.
  • You will set program priorities and develop command policies to ensure compliance with Federal, Department of War, and Department of Navy laws and regulations.
  • You will represent the Commander on councils and working groups, engaging with internal and external partners like the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) to achieve program goals.
  • You will spearhead the completion and submission of key program requirements.
  • You will manage the complaint process by tracking cases, facilitating timely adjudication, and promoting alternative dispute resolution methods.
  • You will synchronize and validate the processes for sensitive EEO related investigations to ensure consistent approaches.
  • You will guide subordinates in performing complex research and analysis to present comprehensive assessments to senior officials.
  • You will develop strategic plans for your team, adapting to dynamic changes in priorities to meet program goals and objectives.
  • You will define technical quality standards for your team's work and oversee the performance of collateral duty assistants worldwide.
  • You will provide oversight of the reasonable accommodation program and the affirmative employment program.

  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position requires a successful pre-employment polygraph examination Counterintelligence (CI)-Scope Polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing strategic direction and oversight for Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program planning, analysis, and evaluation; developing and interpreting command policies to ensure full compliance with Federal, Department of War (DoW), and Department of Navy (DON) laws and regulations; managing the EEO complaint process by analyzing facts and legal precedent to develop decision recommendations, facilitate timely adjudication, and promote alternative dispute resolution; and providing oversight for reasonable accommodation programs and the affirmative employment programs.
