Duties

Help

The duties and responsibilities for a GS-0301-Lead Case Management Specialist-12 generally include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Communicate to the team the assignment, project, or problem to be solved.
  • Ensure all team members are aware of and participate in planning for achievement of team goals.
  • Identify areas requiring additional investigation and justify the conclusions reached.
  • Maintain custody of all briefs and petitions in Government cases.
  • Make recommendations for or coordinate resolutions or improvements.

  • You must successfully pass a security/background investigation and a drug screening.
  • You must be a current permanent Department of Justice employee with competitive status or a CTAP/RPL eligible candidate.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of Lead Case Management Specialist, at GS-0301-12, you must meet the qualification requirements listed below.

For the GS-12: Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which demonstrates providing consultation to a team, in the Identifying, analyzing, and making recommendations to resolve administrative problems or situations.

You MUST meet all qualification requirements, including time-in-grade, by 04/01/2026 of this announcement.

How you will be evaluated

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

Once the announcement closes, a review of your resume and supporting documentation will be conducted by the HR Specialist. This information will be compared against your responses to the application questionnaire to determine your eligibility for Federal employment, and then whether you are qualified for this particular position. If a determination is made that you have inflated your responses when compared to your background information, you may be deemed ineligible.
