Duties

Help

As a Supervisory Facilities and Logistics Manager at the GS-0301-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Leads and manages agency-wide policy and operations for facilities, engineering, property management, supply, transportation, and other logistical support services across all global locations.
  • Serves as the senior facility manager and the logistical aspects of training and contingency preparations, including Continuity of Operations (COOP).
  • Guides major programs or program segments through to completion, resolving critical problems that arise, developing new approaches to be followed by others, and ensuring the accomplishment of programs goals and objectives.
  • Exercises discretionary authority over the organization's budget, planning the allocation of resources across the Future Year Defense Plan (FYDP) and approving fund distribution.
  • Acts as a recognized technical authority and advisor to management, guiding major programs, resolving critical problems, and developing new approaches to complex logistics issues.
  • Supervises a multi-level team of managers and staff, handling all aspects of personnel management including performance evaluation, hiring, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Develops methods to improve work quality and team productivity while ensuring fairness and equal opportunity in all personnel actions.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to theGS-14 grade level in the Federal service:

  • Developing and implementing organizational goals, long and short-range plans and projects.
  • Delegating authority and responsibility to subordinates and holding subordinates accountable.
  • Establishing overall logistics policies, priorities, and procedures.
  • Formulating budget and execution requirements.
  • Formulation of space and facilities policies and guidelines for consideration by organization senior leadership.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
