Summary

This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will serve as a Management and Program Analyst for the ASVAB Career Exploration Program (ASVAB CEP).Responsible for program efficiency, data analysis, process improvement, return on investment, and project management to optimize the effectiveness of the ASVAB CEP in providing career exploration resources to high school and early post-secondary students.

As a Data Management Analyst (ASVAB CEP) at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:

-Performing detailed analysis of operational data to identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
-Managing small- to medium-sized projects by developing project plans, tracking progress, managing resources, and coordinating with stakeholders.
-Developing and maintaining data management systems, generating reports and dashboards, and ensuring the integrity and accessibility of program data to support decision-making.
-Providing data-driven insights, management consulting, and advisory services to leadership on programmatic and operational issues.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the 12 grade level in the Federal service:

  • Conducting program analysis and evaluation of operational data to identify trends and recommend improvements to program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Managing projects, including developing project plans, tracking progress, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining data management systems and generating reports or dashboards to track performance metrics and support leadership decision-making.
  • Providing data-driven recommendations and advisory services to leadership on programmatic or operational issues.
  • Prior exposure to the ASVAB CEP or other career exploration programs.


Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.



Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
