Duties

Help

The duties and responsibilities for a Program Manager, GS-0340-15 generally include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Identifies opportunities for improvements in administrative methods and procedures
* Enters financial and accounting information into a software systems, such as Microsoft Office and Unified Financial Management System
* Utilizes accounting principles, concepts, and techniques to the management of accounting systems.
* Develops, prepares, and analyzes journal vouchers, accounting transactions, financial reports.

  • You must complete a one year supervisory probationary period.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of Program Manager, at GS-0340-15, you must meet the qualification requirements listed below.

If you are a current Department of Justice employee on a permanent appointment in the Competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52 weeks) at the next lower grade level, to meet the time-in-grade requirements for this occupational series and grade.

For the GS-15, 1-year (52 weeks) of specialized experience is required at the next lower grade level, GS-14 or equivalent pay band in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as developing financial statements and performing audits; manages procedures to ensure data entered in the Asset Forfeiture Program property management information system is accurate and timely; and utilizes accounting software programs to create financial statements and reports.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

Once the announcement closes, a review of your resume and supporting documentation will be conducted by the HR Specialist.
