Law students currently enrolled at least half-time in an accredited educational institution.
The FRTIB is filling a Student Volunteer Legal Internship for Summer 2026. This position is expected to begin at the end of May or early June and will extend through the summer. In rare situations, this internship may be extended. As a volunteer law student, you will:

If your transcripts do not reflect current enrollment (e.g., Fall 2025), you must provide a separate proof of enrollment document or acceptance for enrollment verification. Official transcripts and proof of continuing education through either the Summer or Fall 2026 semesters will be required if selected. If you are currently enrolled but will complete your degree requirements by May 2026, you must provide proof of continuing education, such as an acceptance letter, prior to appointment.
4. Writing Sample - a 3-5 page writing sample.
Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications. Therefore, provide only the attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Failure to provide all of the required information as stated in this vacancy announcement may result in an ineligible rating or may affect the overall rating.
