Duties

Help

  • Develops and distributes visual media information in support of the Agency's brand marketing and business initiatives.
  • Serves as a visual information specialist responsible for planning and directing the preparation and presentation of digital and printed media, including the sales circular, employing both design skills with Adobe Creative Suite and analytical skills through MS Office.
  • Analyzes large sets of item data and categorizes for inclusion in the sales circular using Excel.
  • Anticipates and meets the needs of both internal and external customers.
  • Manages milestones, deadlines and scheduling for multiple simultaneous projects.

Qualifications

You must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1084 and additional requirements by the announcement closing date. Your resume (and/or transcript if necessary) must clearly show that you have the qualifications described below. You can use experience, education, or a combination of the two to qualify.

Experience: To qualify for the GS-12 your resume must clearly show that you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11.

Examples of qualifying specialized experience for the GS-12 include:

  • Utilizes modern technology and social media delivery techniques in the fields of video, sound, pictures, and art presentation.
  • Manages projects and develops launch strategy to drive increased market research.
  • Provides professional graphic support to the Agency's messages delivered through all media platforms to include print, social media and web.
  • Proficient in visual and graphics applications including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Fireworks, and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
  • Skilled in using Excel to manage large datasets, analyze information, and organize data into groups based on specific characteristics.

Highly Qualified - Candidates who possess the type and quality of experience that exceeds the position's minimum qualifications.
Qualified- Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications and are proficient in some but not all of the position's requirements.

Candidates in the best qualified category are referred to hiring managers before candidates in other categories. Within the best qualified category, candidates are referred in the following order: adjudicated veterans' preference candidates with 10-point preference, adjudicated veterans' preference candidates with other than 10-point preference, military spouse preference candidates, and candidates with no preference.
