Help

  • Pathways Program Management: Manage daily administrative activities and requirements for student employees. Monitors academic progress for specific educational and program degree requirements and provided advisement towards degree completion, including continued verification of enrollment and academic standing. Manage and maintain reports on student training and development progress.
  • Recruitment and Retention: Support nation-wide recruitment to broaden participation of students enrolled in diverse accredited universities and colleges. Provide expertise on creative approaches to assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Reporting and Other Support: Collect and analyze various program and student demographic data and information to support repetitive and consistent data gathering, analysis, tracking and reporting capabilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
I have one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement. Examples include: Use and maintain knowledge of program management principles, methods and tools of various disciplines for recruitment; Understanding of the Federal hiring practices, rules and regulations, hiring procedures, hiring incentives related to and national multi-program federal student internship programs and Federal civil service applicants. Experience involving recruitment of various fields of science, qualification requirements for various science disciplines being recruited. Developing, implementing, marketing, reporting, and collecting data for recruitment purposes.

Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.

The full performance level of this position is GS-13. This is a supervisory position. Under provision of the Civil Service Reform Act, first-time supervisors are required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period before their appointment becomes final. Those who do not satisfactorily complete this probationary period will be returned to positions of no lower grade and pay than those they occupied before assuming their supervisory assignment.
