The work schedule will be Monday - Friday 6:30 a.m. -3:00 p.m.

You are a self-starter who is ambitious and is results driven that will allow you to apply material handling techniques in storing items providing for easy retrieval, convenience in handling, protection from damage, and ease of movement.

You understand the importance of having a clean driving capabilities by operating forklift trucks and automated material handling and identification equipment to include mobile stock selectors and electromechanical automated equipment.

You take pride in maintaining a clean work space while performing tasksinvolving processing requests, pulling, packing, and shipping supplies and property.

You are skilled at performing physical perpetual inventory of supplies and property.

Qualifications

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Physical effort: Works on hard surfaces and in work areas that require standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lifts and carries weights up to 40 pounds. Dexterity and strength are also required occasionally when the employee pushes a cart weighing up to 200 pounds. May handle heavier items with weight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers. Assists in loading and unloading trucks.

Working Conditions: Work is done inside and outside in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty, or poorly lighted. Employee is regularly exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, falls from ladders, falling material, or injury from equipment. May be exposed to dust, dirt, grease, solvents, and high noise areas while working in a mechanized work area, or radiation, toxins, explosives hazards, or chemical fumes while working in a hazardous materials area. May be required to wear protective clothing, such as hard hats, steel toed shoes, rubber gloves, masks, and rubber aprons. Drives motor vehicles in all types of traffic and weather conditions.

This position requires you to operate a Forklift. You must obtain and maintain a forklift certification and a government issued driver's license.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
