Duties

Help

  • Supports the Chief Equal Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Officer (CEDIO) in the development, implementation of DFC's equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) strategy and programs and compliance with government-wide EDI policies.
  • Integrates EDI laws, regulations, policy directives, and best practices into operational decision-making.
  • Implements DFC's EDI program and strategic plan as directed by the CEDIO.
  • Serves as subject matter expert on EDI matters, questions, and serves as a resource on EDI issues.
  • Plans, develops, and manages complex EDI projects, programs, and activities that may include, EDI policy development, EEOC compliance, outreach, recruiting, employee resource groups, monthly special observations, the EDI websites, strategy development, analysis, and metrics.
  • Establishes, controls, and develops processes to compile, record, manage, and analyze EDI-related data, including managing database systems, maintaining records, and reporting information in compliance with regulations and other requests for information.
  • Plans work, sets priorities, assigns and reviews work.

Qualifications

Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level). Applicants must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements no later than the closing date of this announcement.

TIME-IN-GRADE
: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).

You may qualify at the GS-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal which includes 1) providing authoritative guidance to senior leaders on Equal Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) strategies, compliance, and/or programs; 2) developing and implementing EDI program strategies that eliminate potential barriers to equal opportunity, diversity, inclusion, equity and accessibility; 3) analyzing data to identify EDI trends, barriers, or other issues and identifying resolutions.

Note: Education is not substitutional at this grade level.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
