Help

  • Provides direct supervision to employees performing a variety of duties supporting the EEO Program.
  • Trained and certified National and Shared Neutral/Facilitator, and conducts live EEO Training, including the Prevention of Sexual Harassment, for all managers and supervisors.
  • Develops performance standards, writes position descriptions, evaluates work performance, counsel employees whose performance is marginal or unsatisfactory, and, when necessary, initiates disciplinary actions.
  • Receives and resolves complaints from employees.
  • Maintains an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Program, which is any procedure or combination of procedures used to resolve conflict.
  • Prepares settlement agreements for EEO cases/complaints and creates Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with resolutions.
  • Plans work to be accomplished, sets short and long-term goals, assigns work based on priorities, and mentors, and instructs employees on work and administrative matters.
  • Identifies developmental and training needs for employees, providing or arranging for needed development and training.
  • Conducts studies and analyses on the utilization of minorities and women in the workplace, identifying barriers and triggers, and outlining solutions to identified problems.
  • Conducts analyses of the workforce by race, sex, grade, occupational series, Veteran status, and disability status, and reviews policies or practices affecting employment.
A one year supervisory probation period may be required for this position.

Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am -4:30pm

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 07/29/2024.

Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. For a GS-13 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. General Adjustment SF-50's with the effective date of within the last year do not provide the information to reflect time-in-grade requirement has been met and therefore cannot be the only SF-50. If you are currently serving in a Hybrid Title 38 position, your SF-50's must reflect you have been in the position longer than one year.


You may qualify based on your experience as described below:

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.

Physical Requirements: Regular and recurring work generally involves sitting at a desk, and sitting in conferences and meetings except for occasional visits to facility work sites. Occasional use of automobile and public conveyance may be required. No special exertion is required.

Receiving Service Credit or Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave: Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior work experience or military service experience. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave. Such credit must be requested and approved prior to the appointment date and is not guaranteed.
