Duties

Help
  • Maintains account records to include routine interventions resulting from changes in usage rate, pricing, additional vendors, and other similar activities.
  • Oversees the procurement function within the Division, including preparation of all purchase requests via an electronic system.
  • Analyzes project funds status and coordinates shipping, delivery and installation with project schedules.
  • Closely tracks and monitors the flow of materials from origin through shipment, consolidation and storage, to final distribution and shipment to overseas posts or general contractor’s central receiving point .
  • Coordinates warehouse and storage services, working with domestic warehouses and contractor central receiving point.
  • Coordinates with project interior designer, OBO senior management, contracting officer, furniture vendors, and domestic warehouses.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all the required qualification requirements, including education and any selective placement factors described below by the closing date of this announcement. 

Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.

Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Experience facilitating dialogue with interior designers, organizational leaders, clients, contractors, and furniture vendors to procure furniture for commercial facilities.

  • Experience preparing, processing, and monitoring furniture purchase requests utilizing electronic systems.

There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-12 position.

  • Knowledge of vendor management and procurement processes as it pertains to supply chain management.

  • Knowledge of the laws, regulations, processes, rules and business practices related to logistics management.
  • Skill in Database Management.

  • Ability to gather and evaluate information derived from a variety of sources.

  • Knowledge of supply management laws and regulations.

  • Skill in oral and written communication sufficient to provide client support.
