Major Duties:

  • Enters data into automated systems that support various functions within the OFCCP.
  • Extracts and tabulates data from documents; maintains logs; prepares forms, documents, and charts; and completes other assignments in support of Division and Branch functions using word processing, database, and spreadsheet software.
  • Independently reviews and analyzes data provided by supervisor and/or external stakeholders and determines the appropriate system(s) to input data for tracking and reporting purposes and develop reports.
  • Provides clerical, administrative, and customer service support. This includes, but is notlimited to, answering telephone calls, receiving office visitors and responding to inquiries and questions, directing visitors to the appropriate staff, and scanning and/or copying documents upon request.
  • Receives and responds to unscreened incoming help desk calls for continuous periods from the public, including workers, job seekers, and federal contractors, ascertaining the nature of inquiries received by phone or email.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.

GS-07: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level in or related to the work of Support Services that provided the specific knowledge's, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of Support Services Assistant. Examples of qualifying specialized experience includes:

  • Performing administrative functions such as receiving phone calls, responding to inquiries and questions, and directing visitors to appropriate staff;
  • Utilizing automated systems to prepare documents, manage files, and maintain records; and
  • Compiling, analyzing, and reporting on data from various automated systems.

Education
